“Based on observation, documentation review, record review, and interview, the manager failed to ensure, before providing assisted living services to a resident, a caregiver provided current documentation of first aid training and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training certification specific to adults, for one of two sampled personnel members. The deficient practice posed a risk if the caregiver was unable to meet a resident's needs during an emergency. Findings include: 1. During the environmental inspection of the facility, the Compliance Officer observed E2 working at the facility. 2. A review of facility documentation staff schedule revealed E2 was scheduled to work from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on various days from March 2024 through July 2024. 3. A review of E2's personnel record revealed documentation of first aid training and CPR training. However, the training expired on March 14, 2024. 4. In an interview, E1 acknowledged E2 worked at the facility on the aforementioned dates with expired first aid and CPR training.”
