“Based on observation and interview, the manager failed to ensure medication was stored in a separate locked room, closet, cabinet, or self-contained unit. The deficient practice posed a potential risk to residents.   Findings include:   1.  The Compliance Officer observed that there was medication in a kitchen drawer at the facility which was unsecured.   2.  In an interview, E2 confirmed that there was medication in a kitchen drawer at the facility which was unsecured.”

The deficient practice posed a risk to the physical health and safety of a resident.   Findings include:   1.  The Compliance Officer observed that the following toxic substances were unlocked and underneath the kitchen sink of the facility:   -       Comet with Bleach -       Easy Off Kitchen Cleaner & Degreaser   2.  In an interview, E2 confirmed that the following toxic substances were unlocked and underneath the kitchen sink of the facility:   -       Comet with Bleach -       Easy Off Kitchen Cleaner & Degreaser”
