“Based on record review and interview, the manager failed to ensure a medication was administered to a resident in compliance with a medication order, for one of thirteen residents sampled. The deficient practice posed a risk if the resident experienced a change in condition due to improper administration of medication. Findings include: 1. A review of R3's medical record revealed a service plan for directed care services that included medication administration. 2. A review of R3's medical record included a medication order for "HYDRALAZINE 25 MG TABLET TAKE 1 TABLET BY MOUTH ONCE AS NEEDED. HOLD FOR (Systolic blood pressure ) SBP LESS THAN 110 HR GREATER THAN 100." 3. A review of R3's medical record revealed on January 19, 2024 at 5:18 PM the medication HYDRALAZINE 25 MG TABLET was administered. However, at the time the SBP was 98. 4. In an interview, E1 acknowledged R3's medication was not administered in compliance with the available medication order.”
